Professor Jing Yu is a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering of Nanyang Technological University .
Jing Yu received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA in 2012.
She was a postdoctoral research fellow at the California Institute of Technology, USA from 2012 to 2014, and a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Chicago from 2014 to 2016.
She has been working on biomolecular nanomechanics, biomimetic structures, flexible bioelectronics for a long time. Medical applications of polyelectrolyte, composite hydrogels. Prof.
Yu’s laboratory research focuses on the design of flexible electronic materials, hydrogels implantable medical polymer materials, wearable electronic devices, bio-detectors based on flexible electronics, and biomaterials for clinical use in precision therapy.
Professor Yu has been awarded Singapore NRF, NAP Fellow, and is the highest professor honor of Singapore Young Professors.
Specification
Research on the synthesis and characterization of raw hydrogels and related biomedical polymer materials and their applications.
- Synthesis, mechanics, and structural characterization of hydrogel polymer materials, which can be used to solve clinical problems in the later stage, such as wound healing, tissue repair, intelligent prosthetics, and implantable new soft materials.
- Chemical synthesis and characterization of flexible electronic materials and conductive polymers, as well as research on biological interfaces, such as sensing and detection of bioelectricity and biomolecules (proteins, bacteria and viruses), development of flexible wearable diagnostic and treatment devices, and intelligent regulation of metabolites in vivo.
Welcome to have a background in hydrogel bio-medical polymer synthesis, conductive polymer materials. Students and scholars who are interested in the above related fields are welcome to join us.
