Postdoctoral Fellow In Molecular And Translational Oncology
Job description:
The ambitious candidate should be driven to pursue a research project using advanced preclinical models (organoids, immunoorganoids) to analyze cancer biology, drug response/resistance mechanisms and to identify novel, innovative treatment options (e.g. drug combinations) and biomarkers for gastrointestinal cancers. The successful applicant may use cutting-edge technologies including cancer organoids, small- and large-scale drug screenings, genetic perturbations, as well as different molecular analyses of organoids and tumors. The position also includes supervision of MD and M.Sc. students and collaboration within our group and with our clinical and scientific partners.
Requirements:
We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual with strong interest in the field of molecular and translational oncology. Your profile should include a recently obtained PhD degree in the field of life sciences (molecular biology, biotechnology or equivalent filed) and extraordinary intrinsic and curiosity-driven motivation for translational research. Experiences in standard laboratory techniques such as cell culture, PCR, Western Blot, CRISPR/Cas, etc., as well as documented skills in scientific publication are a prerequisite. Applicants should ideally have familiarity with larger data sets (e.g. omics data) and R-based tools (or similar), while experiences in working with organoids or pharmacological screening are of advantage, but no prerequisite.
Applications should consist of a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae and contact information of two referees.
