　　Microbiology Faculty Position

　　The University of Chicago’s Department of Microbiology seeks applications for faculty positions, especially from those who develop approaches to cultivate, propagate, and interrogate microbial species or consortia. Candidates must have a doctorate and some postdoctoral training.

Appointees have the opportunity to interface with the Microbiome Center, comprising faculty from 30 departments at The University of Chicago, Argonne National Laboratory, and the Marine Biological Laboratory who study microbial community structure and function at multiple scales. The Department offers access to gnotobiotic animal research, flow cytometry, and high-throughput genomics facilities. In collaboration with the newly funded Duchossois Family Institute (https://tinyurl.com/ycgntas9) investigators will have additional access to biorepository, metabolomics, medicinal chemistry, and single-cell genomics facilities, and informatics resources including large-scale data integration and analytics.
