We welcome applications from outstanding and passionate researchers with strong academic or research backgrounds to join our research team at Brighamand Women’s Hospital (BWH)-Harvard Medical School (HMS). There are open positions for graduate students (co-mentorship-Master and PhD) with financial support to work in the areas of nanotechnology, microfluidics, and their

applications in medicine. In addition, we welcome interns, and research assistants to apply for our extensive training program. Research assistants can be students pursuing a Bachelor’s or recently graduates related fields.

Each trainee is assigned a space in the department, and a research project to complete during his or her time in the program. As part of the mentored research experience, trainees will also take training sessions on how to use various computer programs and search MEDLINE and electronic journals.

Individualized training is provided on scientific writing, presentations and conducting scientific analysis. If applicable, trainees also obtain advice on fellowship and PhD applications.

Trainees will typically produce 2-3 papers. There are also opportunities for authorship on review articles, scientific reports, and book chapters.

Duration and timingThis program requires a full-time commitment for one year or at least 6-months. Start dates are flexible. As no stipend is provided, trainees or their institutions are
responsible for expenses. Trainees who demonstrate excellence in one of the themes while in the program will have an opportunity to apply for a research fellow position after six months.
