A postdoctoral position is available in the Multimodality Molecular Imaging Lab at Stanford headed by Sanjiv Sam Gambhir, MD, PhD. This lab is part of the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford (MIPS). The Multimodality Molecular Imaging Lab focuses on developing novel imaging strategies for cancer detection and management. The lab develops and translates to humans multiple multimodality molecular imaging strategies. More recently the lab has been developing blood/urine based diagnostics that would complement existing imaging strategies and aid in early cancer detection. Our goals are to marry fundamental advances in molecular/cell biology with those in biomedical imaging to advance the field of molecular imaging. We have a particular interest in cancer biology and gene/cell therapy. The successful candidate would be working on cell/gene therapy projects for cancer detection, and immunotherapy/immunoimaging projects including the use of reporeter gene technology.
