1. Developing nano-biomaterials for various tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. 2. Developing 3D biomimicked tissue constructs for vessel, heart, skeletal muscle, bone, and brain for regenerative medicine applications 3. Developing novel 3D or 4D bioprinting system and bioinks. 4. Developing biosensors to monitor cell behavior and biomarkers. 5. Developing microfluidic based organ-on-a-chip systems to monitor drug toxicity. 6. Developing cell-based bio-hybrid actuators and microactuators using electroactive polymers for artificial muscle application. 7. Developing flexible bioelectronics for biomedical application.
Positions（职位需求）:
1. Self-funded visiting students（访问学生）: Applicants who are interested please send the CV and names of three references to Dr. Shin with a title line containing the exact phrase “visiting student”. Source of funding should also be clearly stated and only applicants who aim to visit for more than 6 months (ideally 1 or 2 year) will be considered. Candidates with background in nanomaterials, biomaterials, microfluidics, mechanical engineering, biosensor, tissue engineering, electronics, stem cell biology, and immunology are preferred.2. Self-funded postdoctoral research fellows（访问博士后）: Applicants who are interested please send the CV and names of three references to Dr. Shin with a title line containing the exact phrase “self-funded postdoctoral fellow”. Source of funding should also be clearly stated and only applicants who aim to join the laboratory for more than 1 year (ideally 2 year) will be considered. Candidates with background in nanomaterials, biomaterials, microfluidics, mechanical engineering, biosensor, tissue engineering, electronics, stem cell biology, and immunology are preferred.
3. Visiting professors（访问学者）: Applicants who are interested please send the CV to Dr. Shin with a title line containing the exact phrase “self-funded postdoctoral fellow”. Candidates with background in nanomaterials, biomaterials, microfluidics, mechanical engineering, biosensor, tissue engineering, electronics, stem cell biology, and immunology are preferred.
