University Of Leeds
Description
Research Fellow in Environmental and Health Assessment of Transport
Pollution
Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in Environmental Science and knowledge of autonomous driving? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?
Based in the Institute for Transport Studies, you will primarily contribute to two EU projects, namely the newly-funded project nPETS and the ongoing project MODALES ((https: // modales-project.eu/), in the field of vehicle emissions, transport pollution and health impact. nPETS aims to reduce the impact of transport-related nanoparticles on the health of humans and animals. MODALES has a specific focus on improving driving behaviour to reduce emissions from exhaust, brake and tyre. The Leeds team leads these impact assessment activities covering model development, impact of new policies and recommendations.
You will work with and in support of Dr Chen’s research to ensure project tasks are successfully completed. Primarily you will be working on the nPETS and MODALES projects and additionally will support other projects as and when required (and thus the contract may be extendable where appropriate).
