Job Description
The laboratory of Drs. Ted and Valina Dawson seek applications for positions to study neurodegenerative diseases.
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position or research scientist position at the Institute for Cell Engineering at Johns Hopkins to study synaptic plasticity under physiological and pathophysiological conditions. The position requires experience in electrophysiology to work in a multidisciplinary manner investigating models of Parkinson’s disease and the study of human neurons differentiated from stem cells. Candidates should have expertise in LTP and LTD recording from hippocampal or striatal slices and ligand and voltage gated channels recordings from dissociated neuronal cultures. Experience with multiple electrode recording would also be desired. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent.
