About This Role:
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a post- doctoral Fellow to work on genomic/bioinformatic aspects of research intended to facilitate, characterize and utilize introgression of new traits into wheat from wild relative and unadapted materials. This person will work closely with K-State and USDA-ARS personnel to understand introgression of new diversity from wild relatives into wheat with a focus on yield, disease resistance and quality related traits and also facilitate and characterize yield associated genes from outside the adapted gene pool.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genetics, Bioinformatics or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years experience analyzing large genomic data sets
Knowledge and experience in conducting GWAS and QTL analyses
Demonstrated ability to write manuscripts for publication in refereed journals
Demonstrated ability to analyze data using R, experience using high- performance computing clusters
