The Department of Biomedicine of the University of Basel hosts over 70 different research groups and offers an international stimulating, dynamic and friendly atmosphere in an attractive city, rich in culture, located in the middle of Europe. The Translational Immune-Oncology Research Group at the Department of Biomedicine (DBM) in Basel, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. Our research focuses on advancing immunotherapy for solid tumors and investigating the biology and targeting of lymphoma. (Braig et al., Blood, 2017; Stein et al., JITC, 2022; Stein et al., JAMA Oncology, 2022).
The successful candidate will refine chimeric antigen receptor T cells targeted at functionally relevant cancer-specific surface molecules. He or she will work on production protocols to enable first-in-human testing of the cell product and will also support trial set-up.
- Highly motivated, creative, self-driven and passionate
- Master degree and PhD in life sciences
- Background in immunology, oncology, or related fields
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
