英国阿斯顿大学博士后职位招聘–膜生物学和/或细胞外囊泡方面
We are looking for a skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on a recently awarded BBSRC Engineering Biology Mission Award. The project aims to engineer extracellular vesicles (EVs) naturally present in milk into the next-generation oral nucleic acid therapies. You will undertake lipidomic analysis, membrane protein purification and generation of (semi)synthetic lipid vesicles. In collaboration with King’s College London, you will test these for uptake in a variety of model gut systems. Together, these data will determine the key features for oral delivery of EV therapeutics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in membrane biology and/or working with extracellular vesicles. The techniques involved will mainly focus on protein and lipid biochemistry e.g., protein purification using polymers, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, thin layer chromatography and analysis of mass spectrometry data. An ability to learn new techniques quickly is highly desirable and full training will be given as needed.
The post is available for a fixed term until 13th May 2026 with an ideal start date in July 2024.
