General Statement
The Human Interaction Lab at Montana State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team for an exciting NSF-sponsored project. This research focuses on the integration of spatial computing, AI/machine learning, data science, and human factors engineering to advance our understanding and development of human-centered technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct research
Develop machine learning algorithms
Apply data science techniques
Collaborate with a team
Publish findings
Mentor students
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong background in HCI, machine learning, data science, or computer science.
Experience with spatial computing and wearable technology is highly desirable.
Strong programming skills and proficiency with relevant software tools (e.g., Python).
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Spatial Computing Development Experience (e.g. Unity).
The Successful Candidate Will
The successful candidate will be an effective team player, good communicator (in writing and presenting scientific talks), and a role model in terms of ethical behavior for the graduate students in the project.
