Stanford University’s Department of Medicine is seeking a Postdoc Programs Manager (Administrative Services Administrator 1) to spearhead the establishment of a dynamic, centralized Postdoc Coordinator Unit. The Postdoc Programs Manager will play a crucial role in building and managing a team of 3-4 dedicated coordinators. Your efforts will streamline postdoctoral affairs and significantly enhance the overall postdoc experience within the Department of Medicine. This is an opportunity to collaborate with senior leadership to develop policies and procedures that align with best practices and support the Department’s strategic objectives. This role will also serve as a liaison between postdocs, faculty members, and other key stakeholders to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in relevant fields such as education, public health, or non-profit administration.
- 5 years of relevant experience in supporting educational programs and student services.
- Knowledge of School of Medicine/Department of Medicine Postdoc Coordination processes and DFS.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and multitask.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

- Relevant subject matter knowledge.
- Ability to direct the work of others, for jobs requiring supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
- Occasionally use a telephone.
- Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.

The expected pay range for this position is $69,100 to $120,000 per annum.
