丹麦奥尔堡大学博士后职位招聘–营养、数据分析、计算生物学、代谢组学
About the Center for Molecular Prediction of Inflammatory Bowel Disease(PREDICT)
PREDICT was founded in 2021 with the purpose of studying and unravelling the cause and prognosis of inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD). IBD are chronic and disabling diseases that affect millions of people worldwide.
PREDICT is organized as a broad, national and interdisciplinary collaboration between six partners located at Aalborg University, Aalborg University Hospital, University of Copenhagen, Statens Serum Institut, and the Capital Region of Denmark, involving both clinicians and basic scientists. In addition to the national partnerships, PREDICT also has strong international collaborations.
The Postdoc Position
We are looking to recruit an excellent postdoctoral fellow who will work primarily on integrating data from previously conducted dietary intervention studies related to large-scale nutrition and metabolomics to understand personal responses to meals/diets, including nutritional aspects of IBD and application of new molecular approaches in nutritional research. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct high-impact research on how nutrition influences the development and course of disease in IBD. Example areas of study include understanding the effects of meat sources, processed foods, and food additives on the metabolome. The center has access to valuable resources for nutritional epidemiology studies, including biological samples, as well as a world-class clinical environment for intervention studies.
The postdoctoral fellow will assume primary responsibility for new research projects- from study planning to conducting the study, writing scientific articles, obtaining funding and presenting research at national and international meetings, and training students- while carrying out the transition to becoming an independent researcher.
The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with group leader, Assistant Professor Maiara Brusco de Freitas and also with the Center’s interdisciplinary group of scientists to conduct cutting-edge international research. The workplace will be Aalborg University Copenhagen(Copenhagen South Harbor), where the main facilities of the National Center of Excellence are located.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with skills in nutrition, data analysis, computational biology, metabolomics, and a special interest in IBD.
The ideal candidate has:
• A PhD in nutrition or a PhD in epidemiology and special interest/other training in nutrition
• Has demonstrated expertise in omics data analyses, for example with metabolomics and/or metagenomics
• Previous high-quality publications
