德国马克斯·普朗克聚合物研究所博士后职位–结构生物学或相关领域
We are currently seeking a postdoctoral fellow in Integrative Modelling & Electron Microscopy to join our new and growing team at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz.
Collagen is the most abundant protein of our body, and yet, structural knowledge of how it is organized is very scarce. Your project will aim at a high-resolution structure of collagen I. The integrative modelling efforts towards this aim will combine our rich and very promising electron microscopy data with crosslinking, AlphaFold, and other data. The project will be embedded into the research ongoing within our ERC project RADICOL, the overarching goal of which is to redefine the role of collagen as a biochemically active protein material, with implications for tissue homeostasis, organism health and ageing.
Your profile
• PhD degree in structural biology or a related field
• Background in integrative modelling and electron microscopy
• Enthusiasm for international teamwork
We are a highly interdisciplinary and diverse group of scientists and provide an excellent and collaborative research environment. Please reach out for any further questions. Send your CV, your publication list, a short research statement, and contact info for three referees before October 1, 2024 to Frauke Gräter.
