Dr. Wan Laboratory (Laboratory website: https://wan-mlab.github.io) is mainly engaged in AI/machine learning (AI/ML), Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Bioinformatics/Computational Biology) research, especially the single cell analysis, multiple omics analysis, Spatial transcriptome, Cancer Research, Smart Health and Precision Medicine (single cell analysis, multi-omics analysis, spatial transcriptomics, cancer research, intelligent healthcare, and precision medicine).
The lab focuses on developing and applying machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science methods to process and analyze large-scale biological data, especially single cell data, multi-omics data, and spatial multi-omics data data, medical imaging data, electronic medical record data (EHR) or other biomedical data are used for a variety of diseases including leukemia, prostate cancer, rectal cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, etc. Dr. Wan has over 14 years of experience in bioinformatics, machine learning and computational biology. And in high-level journals Genome Research, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Circulation Research, Nature Aging, More than 50 articles have been published on Briefings in Bioinformatics and Bioinformatics.
Meanwhile, Dr. Wan also serves ona range of high-impact journals including Briefings in Functional Genomics, Heliyon, BMC Bioinformatics, Discover Oncology, Permanent editor of the International Journal of Microbiology and PeerJ Computer Science and guest editor of other prestigious journals. In addition, Dr. Wan is a TPC member of more than 20 international conferences related to machine learning, including IEEE ICTAI. Dr. Wan is the author of more than 50 high-impact journals including Nature Computational Science, Nature Communications, Nucleic Acids Research, Cancer Research, Permanent reviewer for Genome Medicine, IEEE TNNLS and Briefings in Bioinformatics.
Recruitment requirements
Able to undertake scientific research projects independently, have enthusiasm for scientific research, diligent, practical, earnest and studious, have good communication skills, and:
- For doctoral and master’s applicants, at least bachelor’s degree, professional background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer, automation, informatics, biology, mathematics, physics, chemistry or other quantitative sciences, strong programming skills are required, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science background is preferred.
