美国普渡大学博士后职位招聘–合成化学、药用化学、分子生物学、生物化学、合成生物学、蛋白质组学/代谢组学、酶学、生物信息学、肿瘤学和厌氧微生物方面
1-2 postdoctoral fellow positions are immediately available in Dr. Qingfei Zheng’s laboratory in the Borch Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology (BMCMP) within the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University.
The positions are supported by BMCMP and NIH to study the interplay between metabolic syndrome and cancer development. The Zheng Lab aims to apply chemical and synthetic biology approaches towards studying protein post-translational modifications, epigenetics, and tumor microbiome for the development of new personalized cancer therapies.
The long-term goal of the lab is
1) to understand the mechanisms of cancer-related metabolic disorders and epigenetic dysregulation and 2) to develop new cancer therapeutics at the “atomic” level. The Zheng lab will focus on both basic and translational research areas.
There is a highly interactive and collaborative environment within Purdue University. Postdocs will get great training opportunities and closely interact with the world-renowned scholars.
Well-trained chemists and biologists from any fields are welcome to join the Zheng Lab. Successful candidates are expected to work closely with Dr. Zheng in the lab to design and carry out experiments, analyze, organize, and present data in written form and to meetings, and to write papers and grants. Salaries, stipend, and benefits are highly competitive and commensurate with university policy and NIH guidelines.
Postdoctoral fellow candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree (or will complete one soon) in chemical or biological science areas. Prior experiences with synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, synthetic biology, proteomics/metabolomics, enzymology, bioinformatics, oncology, and anaerobic microorganisms are a plus but not required.
Interested candidates should send a cover letter summarizing their research interests and CV with a publication list and names and contact information of two references (preferably in a single PDF) to “[Please click the Apply button for the link or address]”. Informal inquiries are also welcome. For more information regarding the application for Ph.D. programs, please refer the following link: https://www.mcmp.purdue.edu/graduateprogram.
