美国科罗拉多大学丹佛分校博士后职位招聘–肾、纤毛、代谢或免疫学研究领域
Job Summary:
Dr. Hopp’s laboratory studies the pathomechanisms driving Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD). ADPKD is the most common monogenic renal disease worldwide with currently limited therapeutic options to alleviate disease burden characterized by progressive cyst growth and end stage kidney failure. ADPKD has many molecular and cellular commonalities with cancer, in which the tissue microenvironment has shown tremendous potential for therapeutic intervention. We are interested in studying the role of the microenvironment, specifically immune cells, in ADPKD progression and apply the knowledge gained from the cancer field to PKD to develop novel interventional strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize mouse/rat models for mechanistic research and preclinical intervention studies.
- Perform basic cellular/molecular techniques that drive hypothesis-based research
- Develop independent projects leading to grants, posters, manuscripts.
- Condense, analyze, present, and write-up project results.
- Supervise and work alongside graduate students and research technicians within the Hopp lab.
Work Location:
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
Why Join Us:
The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension is internationally renowned for its clinical and research programs in polycystic kidney disease (PKD). The Divisional PKD program has a long-standing history of performing clinical and preclinical trials targeted to slow the progression of PKD. Dr. Hopp is the director of the preclinical murine PKD core and has published multiple studies pertaining to therapeutic measures that may slow disease progression. Her laboratory predominantly focuses on understanding metabolic and immunologic defects of PKD that may modulate disease progression.
