The Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is accepting applications for a term tenure track, open rank faculty appointment with a joint appointment in the Department of Molecular & Cellular Oncology starting immediately. This research faculty position will be required to conduct original and creative independent research projects preferably with a focus on stem cell biology. The investigator will have full access to the core lab in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Oncology. Additionally, this research position provides the investigator full access to the clinical faculty in the Department of Plastic Surgery for collaborative translational research in potential stem cell applications in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. Required Qualifications:

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in cellular biology, molecular biology, or biomedical engineering. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate and can range from Assistant to Full Professor. Candidates for this position must have demonstrated considerable ability in independent research with a consistent record of successful peer-reviewed research funding (associate and full professor) or will establish their own independent research program and be expected to write grants and manuscripts for publication (assistant professor). The applicant must also be able to speak and write English fluently.
